A Glow-Up for HackNotice, and for the Way the World Thinks about Cybersecurity

A Glow-Up for HackNotice, and for the Way the World Thinks about Cybersecurity

April 3, 2023

Say hello to the new face of HackNotice! We’ve come a long way over the past few years, and the future’s looking super bright. So, we thought it was time to celebrate. And what better way to do that than with a spruced-up new brand and website? (And HackNotice Actions, a powerful new upgrade to the HackNotice platform, which we’ll get to in just a bit.)

At HackNotice, we’re all about making cybersecurity personal, engaging, and people-centered. Our new brand and website evoke these values, and are a part of our continual push to bring individualized threat awareness to security cultures everywhere.

We want cybersecurity to be accessible to everyone. After all, the more people engage with online security, the better off we all are. We’re taking people beyond the beige-cubicled world of traditional security training (and that feeling of overwhelm that so many of us get when we try to understand data breaches, leaks, and security team emails).

HackNotice has grown over the past few years into a start-up with 50 employees, a wide base of happy customers, and a large social media following. We’re a regular presence at top cybersecurity conferences and a well-known resource for industry-leading research and whitepapers. Maybe all that is what gave us the confidence and inspiration to build out this vibrant new brand image – that, and our desire to make sure that people everywhere, across all industries, feel welcomed by the world of cybersecurity, and not alienated or unsettled.

HackNotice Actions

It’s true, our new brand and site are full of happy colors, fun graphics (say hello to our new mascot, Dotty!), and readable, comprehensible content. But we’re more than a pretty face. Along with our rebrand and new website, we’re releasing HackNotice 4.1. With it, we’re unleashing HackNotice Actions, a new service that further empowers people, by reaching out to any company where a person’s PII or other data has been compromised, and asking for a full report on or erasure of the person’s data, in addition to other functionalities.

Specifically, HackNotice Actions sends an official email on the user’s behalf to compromised companies, which asks for a full report on exposed information and, if needed, for the impacted individual’s data to be deleted. Through this, HackNotice Actions provides a new, robust level of security empowerment, making it easy for people to understand the extent of their data exposure and to ensure that their data is removed when a service is no longer used. Maintaining consumer privacy has never been easier.

Toward The Future

With all these groundbreaking moves, we’re making real progress toward creating a new world of people-friendly cybersecurity. A world where people understand how to learn about risks and how to protect themselves. A world of empowerment, and a world of cooperation. We’re helping people feel at home with cybersecurity.

As always, we remain committed to our core philosophy and goals:

  • Give people the power to identify threats and  protect themselves, all while building great security routines.
  • Promote cultures of diligent, involved personal security at organizations everywhere.
  • Become the most trusted platform by which people can learn about security, discover suspicious events, and safeguard themselves and their colleagues.
  • Help people stop fearing cybersecurity and start feeling confident and empowered!

So come over and take a look around the new website (www.hacknotice.com) and see what you think! And, of course, log onto your HackNotice account and get a feel for the added horsepower of HackNotice Actions. We think you’ll love it.
